Hey everyone, Amanda here!

We have a very exciting meeting coming up (we’ll share more soon 👀) and we’ve been asked to share more about why our customers love Not Basics — what makes you choose us, what keeps you coming back, and who you are.

Rather than putting words in your mouth, we’d love to hear it directly from you. If you have a spare two minutes, your comment would be incredibly helpful — it really will make a difference and help us tell our story in the most meaningful way.

If you have a moment, please comment below and share: What made you choose Not Basics? What do you love most about our pieces? What keeps you coming back? And if you’re happy to, it would be amazing if you could sign off your comment with your age or anything else you’d like to share about yourself personally — it’ll help us build a fuller picture of our community.

Behind the scenes at Not Basics this week...

Whilst I'm here, I thought I'd share a little glimpse into this week as it was very Not Basic. So we started the week with a last-minute shoot cancellation when our samples didn’t arrive in time. I am off on holiday next week, so this felt like the end of the world at the time (not to be dramatic) but thankfully we were able to reschedule and shot everything yesterday. Crisis averted!

We also had a BIG call this week — something we’ve been working towards for years might finally be happening. Send us all your good vibes. (And yes, in classic us fashion, we showed up wearing identical hairstyles — unintentionally matching for all the big moments, as always 😂.)

Lastly, we’ve welcomed a new team member! This means Lauren — who many of you will know if you’ve ever emailed us — will be moving from customer experience into a new department. We’re so excited for what’s next.

Thank you for being such a key part of this journey. Every comment, suggestion, and bit of encouragement helps us shape Not Basics into a brand that actually means something — to us, and hopefully to you too. We wouldn’t be here without you.

Have a lovely weekend!

For the last few years I have been on a journey of reducing my wardrobe and investing in well-made, sustainably made, natural fibre pieces and Not Basics is on my list of shops I use for that. All clothes I got from here are fab, I love the support the tops give to my 34F boobs, and I wore a sweatpants/sweatshirt set on a 2 week Euro trip via trains and it was the most comfortable thing! So I love NB for sustainability, quality and style, and comfort – ticking off evert=ything on my list!

I stumbled on Not Basics while browsing on Instagram. I ordered a bodysuit and since then I’ve been obsessed! White tops that aren’t synthetic or see-through? Gold dust! I’m becoming more eco-conscious when it comes to fashion also, so Not Basics stance and business practices appeal to me.

I first discovered Not Basics (Pantee at the time) on the Good On You app when looking for some basic T-shirts that were sustainable and ethical, but that didn’t break the bank. But since then, I have come to love the simplicity above everything else. I own 3 T-shirts, a bodysuit, a long sleeved top, the black trousers and some joggers and this forms the basis of my wardrobe and I probably wear at least one item every single day! The quality is also a big plus, the fabric just feels so nice against your skin. I wasn’t sure about the fit of the leggings, but since the double stitch has been added at the waistband I will be willing to try again. Different leg lengths would also be good 😊

Fay

I love the quality of the fabrics, they are so soft and a fabulous fit. One thing I would personally love is a longer length option in the long/short sleeve T shirts. I’m 52 (size 10, 5’7) so find the length in T shirts a little short. As we get older, as women, our body shape changes slightly and shorter tops don’t fit as well. I still wear them though as they feel so good on my skin!

Nikki

I like the knickers, but mostly, it’s the T-shirts and bodysuits. They’re comfortable and feel secure, and they’re also smart enough to wear to work.
