We have a very exciting meeting coming up (we’ll share more soon 👀) and we’ve been asked to share more about why our customers love Not Basics — what makes you choose us, what keeps you coming back, and who you are.

Behind the scenes at Not Basics this week...
Whilst I'm here, I thought I'd share a little glimpse into this week as it was very Not Basic. So we started the week with a last-minute shoot cancellation when our samples didn’t arrive in time. I am off on holiday next week, so this felt like the end of the world at the time (not to be dramatic) but thankfully we were able to reschedule and shot everything yesterday. Crisis averted!
We also had a BIG call this week — something we’ve been working towards for years might finally be happening. Send us all your good vibes. (And yes, in classic us fashion, we showed up wearing identical hairstyles — unintentionally matching for all the big moments, as always 😂.)
Lastly, we’ve welcomed a new team member! This means Lauren — who many of you will know if you’ve ever emailed us — will be moving from customer experience into a new department. We’re so excited for what’s next.
Thank you for being such a key part of this journey. Every comment, suggestion, and bit of encouragement helps us shape Not Basics into a brand that actually means something — to us, and hopefully to you too. We wouldn’t be here without you.

I’m 5ft 9 and have never found a bodysuit that didn’t cut me in two until I found yours! Have 3 and waiting for the sleevless one you teased a few weeks ago.

I love Not Basics because of the quality and fit. The basics done right. I’ve had too many bodysuits over the years that ride up and try and cut you in half, or that go sheer after one wash, or that pull down and risk a boob falling out. Your bodysuits just work. Flattering, comfy, opaque all the time.
From there it’s a no brainer to try other items and they all rock.
What made me choose Not Basics? The simple but quality design, the commitment to breathable, natural fabrics without having to scrafice on style.
What I love most about our pieces? The quality at very reasonable prices.
What keeps me coming back? I keep wearing them and wanting more! And as a business owner I also feel passionate about supporting female owned small businesses. So when I find one I like I’m a loyal customer for life!

Re: thoughts/ideas about NOT BASICS and why I am a happy satisfied customer….
First and foremost – well crafted garments made from comfortable fabrics by people who care about providing excellent products created with care and sustainability. Can’t be overstated…. comfort and longevity in a garment is never boring. It’s a must.
It’s so refreshing to find a design/making team focused on details and customer satisfaction. Listening to, considering and, where possible, adapting designs is bound to result in better practices and products.
